Ah, why do coffee drinkers get the most Steampunk looking beverage making machines? The above (pointed out by Mr Joe Roberts) is La Pavoni 16 cup Romantica espresso machine in brass and wood. Such a shine on it, and with that valve (including danger level – they really have to have danger levels on them) and that oversized handle, it really does look overengineered for the task – marvelous! Shame about the little green switch on the side, but I suppose there must be consessions to modernity here and there, though for that price, I would have hoped for something better than green plastic, perhaps?
